Privacy Policy

Gigmash ("Gigmash," "we," "us") operates gigmash.com, a job-search and career-intelligence platform that helps people find AI roles they qualify for and see what skills would help them reach better-paying ones. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Account information. If you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a securely hashed password (or nothing at all, if you sign in via a passwordless email link).

Career profile. Anything you tell us about your background — a typed description, an uploaded résumé, or the skills and experience level you set — so we can match you to listings and identify skill gaps. If you upload a résumé, we extract and store its text content.

Activity data. Searches, job and course views, clicks, and saved listings, so the product can show you what's relevant and we can understand what's working.

Approximate location. When you search "near me," we use either a city-level location inferred from your network connection or, if you choose to share it, your browser's precise location. You can always type a ZIP code instead.

Cookies. A session cookie that keeps your saved jobs, profile, and preferences attached to your browser (whether or not you have an account), and, if you sign in, an authentication cookie. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

• Match you to listings and estimate a fit score
• Identify the skills or certifications you'd need to reach a role, and suggest relevant courses
• Summarize job descriptions, company profiles, and résumés to make them faster to read
• Send you account-related email — magic-link sign-in, email verification, and similar notices
• Understand aggregate usage so we can improve the product

Some of this — résumé and profile summarization, job and company descriptions — is generated with the help of a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). Text you submit for these features may be processed by that provider to generate a response; it is not used to train their models under our agreement with them.

The job and course listings on Gigmash are sourced from external job boards, employer career pages, and course platforms. We link out to the original source for every listing. We don't control, and can't guarantee the accuracy of, third-party listing content — see our Terms of Service for more.

Some links to course providers are affiliate links. If you enroll through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This never affects which courses we show you or how we rank them.

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the product on our behalf:

• Hosting and infrastructure (Vercel) and our database provider (Neon)
• Transactional email delivery (Resend)
• AI-assisted text processing (Anthropic), as described above

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Gigmash or our users.

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your data deleted, email us at help@gigmash.com and we'll remove it, other than what we're required to retain for legal or security purposes.

• Update or delete your career profile and résumé at any time from your dashboard
• Remove saved jobs and courses at any time
• Ask us to delete your account and associated data
• Control cookies through your browser settings (note: blocking our session cookie will sign you out and lose unsaved progress)

Gigmash is not directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls — to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy as the product changes. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
